How it works

Step 1: Create Your Free Account

Sign up online to create your free Shipcentricja account. Once registered, you’ll receive your personal shipping address along with a unique mailbox number.

Step 2: Start Shopping Online

Shop from your favorite U.S. stores and use your Shipcentricja address at checkout. You can even share your address with family and friends so they can send packages to you. To speed up processing, simply create a Pre-Alert in your account for each incoming package.

Step 3: Package Arrival & Processing

When your packages are delivered to our Florida warehouse, they are logged into our system. You’ll receive a notification via email or our mobile app once each package is processed. On arrival in Jamaica, Shipcentricja presents your packages to Customs for clearance and keeps you updated throughout the process.

Step 4: Get Your Packages

After your packages are cleared, you’ll receive a notification that they’re ready. You can choose to: Pick up for free at our Pickup Hub, or schedule a delivery to your home or office at an additional cost . It’s that simple—shop, ship, and receive your packages with ease.

Sea Freight

Best suited for large or bulky shipments such as barrels and pallets. A cost-effective option for items weighing 50 lbs or more, or measuring over 14 cubic feet. Delivery times are longer, but savings are greater.

Standard Air Freight

Ideal for regular shipments, small packages, or moderately sized deliveries requiring consistent and reliable transit times.

The rates calculated above are only for Standard Air Freight packages below $100.00 USD. Packages exceeding $100.00 USD in value are subjected to Customs Duty Tax and additional processing fees. For every pound (1 lb) over 10 lbs, an additional charge of JMD $400 per lb will apply, up to a maximum weight of 50 lbs. Frequently Asked Questions

How long will it take for my package to arrive in Jamaica?

Once your package is delivered to our U.S. warehouse, you can typically expect it to arrive in Jamaica within 3 to 5 business days for air freight and 7-10 business days by sea. This timeline may vary slightly depending on shipping volumes and customs processing. We aim to keep you updated throughout each stage of the shipping process, so you’ll receive notifications as your package is processed, shipped, and cleared for pickup or delivery.

Do I need to submit an invoice for my packages?

Yes, providing an invoice is mandatory for all packages being imported. The invoice helps declare the contents and value of the package to the Jamaica Customs Agency. If an invoice is not submitted, customs processing will be delayed, and there is a chance that the customs officer will assign a higher estimated value to your item, which could result in additional fees. To avoid complications or unnecessary delays, be sure to upload or email a clear, accurate invoice for every shipment.

How can I avoid paying customs duty on my package?

To avoid paying customs duties in Jamaica, it is recommended that the total declared value of your package — including the cost of the item and shipping — be kept below $100 USD. Packages that are valued at $100 USD or more are often subject to customs fees, which are determined by the Jamaica Customs Agency. Please note that customs policies may change from time to time, so it’s a good idea to double-check the latest regulations if you’re unsure.

What happens to lost or “unknown” packages?

“Unknown” packages refer to items delivered to our U.S. warehouse that do not include the customer's account code (SCLS) in the shipping address. This unique code is provided to you during registration and is essential for identifying and matching packages to your account. If a package arrives without your SCLS code or any other identifying information, it will be marked as “Unknown” in our system. To claim and remove a package from the “Unknown” status: - A fee of $450 JMD will apply. - You must provide the correct tracking number for verification. Please note that processing an “Unknown” package can take up to 1–2 weeks, and once it’s linked to your account, it will be shipped on the next available shipment date. You will receive an email update once the package is en route.

My tracking shows the package was delivered, but I haven’t received any updates. Why?

When a package is delivered to our U.S. warehouse, it takes up to 24 hours or by the end of the next business day to be scanned and entered into our system. If two full business days have passed and you still haven’t received an update, please reach out to us immediately for assistance. We also recommend double-checking the address you used, especially your account number (SCLS)code, to ensure it was correctly included.

Are there any items that I am not allowed to ship?

Yes, there are several restricted or prohibited items that cannot be shipped to Jamaica. These include: Toy guns and pepper spray, weapons (including guns, swords, and ammunition), radar detectors, live animals and unprocessed meat, firecrackers, fireworks, and explosives. Lighters and matches, camouflage clothing and materials. Cash or currency of any kind. For a complete and up-to-date list of restricted and prohibited items, please visit the official Jamaica Customs website: www.jacustoms.gov.jm.

Are there storage fees for packages that aren’t picked up right away?

Yes. Once a package arrives in Jamaica, you are expected to collect it promptly. If your package is not collected within 7 days, a storage fee of $200 JMD per day will be applied. If a package remains unclaimed for up to 30 days, it may be auctioned in order to recover associated costs such as shipping and local clearance fees. To avoid extra charges or loss of items, we encourage you to monitor your notifications and collect your package as soon as it's ready.

What happens if my package is delivered to the U.S. warehouse after business hours?

If your package is delivered outside of our regular U.S. warehouse business hours — for example, at night, on weekends, or on public holidays — don’t worry. We have a secure drop bin available to receive these deliveries. However, because our team won’t be onsite to process the package immediately, it will not appear in your customer portal until the next business day. Once processed, you’ll receive an update as usual.

I don’t have a credit card. Can you still help me purchase items online?

Yes! If you don’t have a credit or debit card (Visa or Mastercard), we offer a Credit Card Purchase Service. With this option, we will purchase your desired item on your behalf using our company card and have it shipped to your assigned U.S. address. Here’s how it works: We charge a service fee, based on the total value of your intended purchase (this includes the item’s price and shipping to our U.S. warehouse). The order must be a minimum of $1000 JMD. You must make full payment before we complete the purchase. This service is convenient for customers who may not have access to international payment methods but still want to shop online.

Where can I pick up my packages or arrange for delivery?

We currently offer the following pickup and delivery options: Our main pickup point is located at Little Premier Plaza in Half-Way Tree (HWT). If you're located outside of Kingston or Portmore, we can send your package to you via Knutsford Express or through the local post office (ZipMail). We also offer door-to-door delivery within the Corporate Area for an additional fee. We may offer free delivery in Portmore, depending on the weight of your package. Delivery costs vary by location. If you’re interested in this service, please contact us directly for specific rates and conditions.

Do you charge a handling fee for packages?

A handling fee is only applied if your package weighs 15lbs and over.
